I'd like to think my art, style wise, has gotten a little more consistent over the course of my hiatus. But I'll let you, darling f-list be the judge of that. At the very least I think I've improved with colouring. However! Enough of the boring self-reflection and onto the arts!

Rating: NWS! Nudity, but you can't see much.
Medium: HB pencil and Photoshop.
Notes: This is a surprise illustration for wantsunicorns, because she's been a really good, patient friend the last few days, beta-ing on the go and helping me with my fear of putting words down. Oh, and also because she wrote an amazing Millicent/Luna fic for femmefest. This was inspired by the opening scene. Darling, I wanted to rec your fic the second I started reading it, I hope the fact that I loved it so much to illustrate a scene from it is enough to convince everyone else to go read it!

Notes: I am finally, finally starting to get really into next-gen. Lord knows it took me forever, but here we are. Here is Roxanne! She is wearing Gryffindor colours, because she'd totally be in Gryffindor. *nods*. Next up, Lucy Weasley and Teddy Lupin.

I love them both, especially Millicent :D She is slightly thinner than I imagine her, but she is beautiful either way. How nice that your skills are growing during your hiatus.

Thank you! I think I imagine her to be less thin too, but the only reference of a woman sitting nude in a chair that I liked the pose was of a much skinnier woman, so she came out kind of halfway between the two, hah.

Oh, I love that Millicent. I love her hand wrapped around her leg and the curls of smoke around her head. It's really gripping.

I haven't got that into the next gen either, but if you keep drawing them like you have Roxanne then I definitely see that changing!

I think I just don't have a solid headcanon for any of them yet, so it's hard to really feel it, you know? But drawing them definitely helps!

Oh, wow. Both are gorgeous. I love Roxanne's freckles so much! The Millicent one resonates with me most because wantsunicorns' story was just absolutely beautiful, and this captures the dreariness and greyscale of Millie's world pre-Luna so wonderfully (and painfully). An utterly gorgeous illustration for an utterly gorgeous story. :)

I've had this tab open for days and I still cannot seem to find the proper words.

I love this! I love this with everything I've got. Your Millicent, she's perfect, she's wonderful, she's unique and when I look at her I wonder what's going on inside of her, but then I already know and her looking so calm on the outside makes me sad. I want to hug her and tell her that things will be okay.

I love the pose you drew her in, it's so relaxed, yet vulnerable. And I love that the only thing that's in colour and bright is the bud of her cigarette where she holds it negligently.

I figure you would know her intimately - this version of her - and I'm glad it matches up to how you see her! I wanted to draw more scenes too, but this one just struck me, you know? Precisely because of the relaxed yet vulnerable thing she has going.
