Title: Something To Remember Me By
Pairing: Remus/Regulus/Peter
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 2324 words.
Warnings: Voyeurism of a non-sexual kind, threesomes (kind of), fleeting graphic sex scenes, offscreen character death. Peter. Peter’s peter.
Summary: After faking his own death, Peter retreats to Remus’ house for a few weeks, without Remus’ knowledge. Instead of hearing the news he hopes for, he is instead plagued by memories of their relationship.
Author’s Notes: Written for Round 5 of [livejournal.com profile] daisychain_drab! Okay, so this isn't a short read, or an easy read, and has a stack of warnings which are very apt, but:
It's kind of brilliant, in a 'quietly horrifying, all men are bastards', kind of way. One of my main reasons for reccing this, actually, is that the author hasn't written Ginny and Astoria off as horrible people, instead, Harry and Draco are the arseholes, and it just kind of works. It's also just really clever, winding in literary references, borrowed Muggle programs (and their accompanying problems), Harry's huge cock (as [livejournal.com profile] snarkyscorp said in their request: what?) and Draco's family, who are just as dysfunctional as they should be.

It's long, gory, unsettling, viscerally real, and, most importantly, it's really worth the read.

Okay, so first of all, my gift from [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays

Every Fifteen Seconds by anon, H/D, NC-17. 20,540 words. Warnings for violence and bloodiness, from the violence.

Summary: The faceless men Draco Malfoy fights these days don’t offer redemption or salvation. They don’t offer answers or even friendship. Draco is tired of answers, and though he still has a few friends, most of them have lives of their own and can’t understand how Draco is still haunted by the ghost of someone he hasn’t seen in four years. And as for salvation, Draco gave up on that years ago. Because even the Saviour couldn’t be saved.

This is the comment I left, apologies for it being a bit scattered and all over the place, I was really excited:

This is the comment I left, cut for spoilers and length! )

Next is from [livejournal.com profile] hp_emofest.

Festival Night by anon, Draco/Albus Severus, NC-17. 6780 words. Warnings for age disparity: 49/23.

Summary: Scorpius is getting married, and Albus Severus is the best man. At the wedding, Draco is feeling old, fat and maudlin, watching his son take this huge step, so he goes off for a walk in the Manor gardens. Albus Severus follows him.

Why it's genius: First of all, Draco describing himself as a "divorced ex-Death Eater poof" is fantastic, and this is hot as hell. Most of the things I've read with this pairing have had a distinct D/s vibe to them, which I love (obviously), but here it's almost blessedly missing. Instead, Albus is stunningly sincere, and Draco reads as... coming back out of his sexual retirement, if you will. Basically, it had me at: outdoor sex and fat admiration.

Lucky last is a piece of art from [livejournal.com profile] nextgen_mas.

By My Rules by anon, Teddy/James II, PG.

Summary: James plays a little game. Teddy wasn't really up to it.

Why I love it: I was sold at 'watercolours'. This is beautiful. The colours are crisp and sharp, and each choice for their hair, clothes, etc. is wonderfully deliberate and appropriate. Admittedly I'm yet to really get into next gen, but Teddy is sort of my current exception to that rule. He's sort of reminiscent of Remus here; he's a little sad, and seems to consider every word carefully. James is adorably boisterous, and it all just works.

On a side note, I still haven't really settled into a way of reccing things that I feel 100% comfortable with. Darling f-list, what is your favourite way of laying things out?

Title: Uniformity
Pairing: Harry/Draco (pre-slash, really)
Rating: G
Word Count: 918 words
Summary: Harry and Draco are the only Eighth Years to still wear their uniforms.
Author's Notes: Merry Christmas, [livejournal.com profile] nimielle! Sorry for the failure to smut, I hope you like it anyway! You asked for Eighth Year and toothpaste stains, I hope this delivers! Thanks [livejournal.com profile] freakingcrups for looking this over!

I handed in a big assignment today, so I won't have anything else major due for a few weeks! Success! You know what that means?

More time to hang out here! Potentially sometime over the weekend I'll post the first chapter of something I'm working on! Yeah, chapter.

Here is how you can help (this is like one of those choose your own adventure stories): if Harry and Draco saw each other for the first time in say, 5 years, do you think Draco would be:

a) rude
b) evasive
c) a flirt
d) polite but not chatty
or e) some combination of the above?

Why?

And, once again, yay! Weekend! *dances*

I'm trying to use this journal more. Efforts so far have included:

- Changing the theme and userpic!

- Getting involved! Yeah! Pep! Totally signed up as an artist for hd_holidays, and while that's really nerve-wracking, I'm also really excited. Granted, the fest is a few months away, but I'm making an effort to try to be more involved in fandom by the time posting starts.

- Posting things! See: lj cut.

This comic is something I drew when I was listening to Gone Forever a lot.

 H/D, 100 words (I think)

He's wearing spectacles. “You're wearing glasses,” I say. He doesn't answer, except to raise an eyebrow. I flush. Well done, Captain Obvious. He looks good. Older, certainly, but still dignified; hard. My eyes travel down the line of his chest, across the- I flush again. My eyes dart back to his face, finding the eyebrow still raised, but the hint of a smile playing across his mouth. I take in his whitening hair, his flashing grey eyes. The silver frames suit him. Another thing on which the light catches. I wonder if he complains about catching my attentions.
